Description

Glasnost translates as “Openness”, and was the name of a key policy adopted by Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev in the mid-1980s, introducing Western ideologies and technologies to the Soviet Union, as well as a need for clarity between state and people. Fusion’s Glasnost “East meets West” collection embodies the Soviet Union’s collapse and subsequent transition into capitalism, using bold colours and opaque materials that symbolise a new more open relationship between the East and the West.

The Glasnost T-shirt in Charcoal Grey has “Glasnost” written in Cyrillic text on the front in straw yellow. There is a Fusion Glasnost Collection tag in lime stitched on the bottom of the T-Shirt.  On the back, there is a screen printed visual of the “East meets West” concept in straw yellow, with “Moscow” written in Cyrillic on the left side, and “New York” written on the right. The T-Shirt is made from 95% Cotton and 5% Elastane for a comfortable regular fit.
