When most people think of Russia, they think of Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Siberia. Norbu want to change that.
Based in Moscow but inspired by Buryatia, Kalmykia and Tuva, they draw inspiration from the ancient Buddhist culture of some of Russia’s farthest-flung regions to show a side to the country’s culture that “people in the west know so little about”.
With designs that incorporate elements of traditional Buddhist clothing as well as spiritual symbols, mantras and scripts, Norbu are dedicated to representing a culture that’s not typically associated with Russia.
Asked to describe their brand in three words, Norbu replied: style, quality, Buddhism. From the temples of Tibet to the steppes of Central Asia, Norbu have got you covered.
